Yeah, I definitely wasn't thinking about those junk ebay fans, those are a joke. I was thinking more along the lines of a good vacuum motor, just use it in a reverse sort of way. I haven't really done anything with this project yet, but I do plan on looking into it more. 12v isn't a whole lot, but the electrical system is strong in the DS, so I'm hoping it can take a heavy 12v load.
A fan blade idea will not work, just because fan blades are not designed to hold pressure with high rpms, they are just designed to move air, inefficiently. But like how the Dyson vacuum motors are made, they have a fins more like a turbo does, where they can create a suction on the one side. I'm hoping that if I use this sort of idea, but use the other side, it can create pressure, not a whole lot, but enough. Just got that itch for a little more power. ;D

Back in the DS hay day their were 10 to 15 top notch builders that pushed the 650 to the outer limits and then some. If you could dream it up it was tried 3 different ways. What worked for one person did not work for the next. Myself I ran a turbo gt28  800 fuel injection motor with nitrous. It blew up 4 times.  So if a fan works for you try to improve on it and have fun.

ya im all about trying new cheap things to gain more power but i really don't think electric motors with compressor fans is the way to do it... but i am going to look into the theory a bit more now just cause i don't want to say its impossible but just unlikely to produce any significant hp gains

I believe the one on ebay is something like 3psi . that's really not going to do much

A 70 hp motor needs to flow 280 cfm. Alittle less if compression over 12 to one.
Be sure the fan can exceed this number or you will be restricting its normal flow.

With my current mods, I'm not pushing anything close to 70hp, but I figure about 45hp I suppose, or somewhere around that range. I won't necessarily need 270cfm, but 250cfm should be good enough. This is kinda what I was thinking, or at least something along these lines.

It can hold pressure as shown on the 2nd link's 3rd page. Just a little, and plus like I said before, I'm not looking to turbo, just let the motor get the air it needs a little better.
