jetting

Can't over-rev?
Did you set the float bowl per my specs?
What does the sparkplug look like?

The plugs look goodish the bike is at 62 hrs on the current plug.
the bigger issue would appear to be a slit in my intake boot... I’m so disappointed in my self for letting that slip. I had forgotten it had a wrap of tape around it when I purchased it.
The float level was a bit high, I took it down and ordered a new intake boot. I’ll check back and see how it goes. Thanks OMR.

The new intake boot is going to make a huge difference in your performance. All of that extra air can cause all kinds of havoc and make tuning a mother. You will be pleased with the outcome.
If you can read this, thank a Teacher. If you can read this in English, thank a Marine.

I took a few moments to look over the carb and check everything. The float level was 3.93mm out of from to back spec (using the carb mods method) once fixed I cleaned the boot with brake clean and then isopropyl alcohol, letting it dry then “glued” it back with o-ring bonding glue, vacuum checked it and took it for a spin.
       NOW THATS MORE LIKE IT.

I’m sure I will need to rejet and start the tune over again. I think it’s been a problem from the start... the boot is on order, and I’ll be working on tuning until it comes in.
